FANS GET THEIR HANDS ON THE SUPER LEAGUE TROPHY
Giants’ fans turned up in their droves this week as the engage Super League trophy landed in Huddersfield as part of a National tour. Ahead of the Giants opening home engage Super League game against St Helens this Sunday (22nd February, kick off 3.00pm), supporters posed for pictures with the trophy and met some of their Giants heroes.
The event was part of a Super League initiative to get the fans involved in engage Super League XIV and it proved to be a great success.
Giants players Josh Griffin, Keale Carlile, Leroy Cudjoe, Greg Worthington and Tom Hemingway were in attendance and everyone left The Zone happy after meeting and having photo’s taken with both players and the trophy.
The occasion was a resounding success and Giants Rugby in the Community Manager Ryan McNeely commented:
“It was a great opportunity for fans to come to the Zone Sports Centre, enjoy the facilities we have on offer here and see the competitions top prize close up. Super League are very pro-active and it was a fantastic occasion for all who attended.
Fans are urged to get down to the Galpharm Stadium this Sunday to see the Giants in action in their first home game of the season against Challenge Cup Holders St Helens.
